About this website

The aim of this website is to provide easily accessible documents and data to consultants that work on economic cost/benefit- and financial analyses in transport infrastructure projects, particularly road and rail investments. The documents referred to on this website contain hyperlinks to other websites, on which they are already made publicly available.

The information has been selected mostly for its practical and instant applicability. Academic discussions will not be ignored, but the focus is to support consultants finding a proper methodology or reference value. The website will be frequently updated with new links to additional references found by the editor and (hopefully) provided by site visitors. Generally, the documents mentioned here are published between 2004 - to date.

The site contains a selection with references on CBA modelling („General CBA”), as well as some sections concerning specific themes relevant in economic CBA. For documents that are particularly important in EU projects a separate section is available. Additional background information and project reports can be found in the section named „Other”.

The quality of this website will of course also depend on the input of consultants in the field. They are therefore kindly invited to comment, share experiences and add remarks or recent documents. (In the future even a forum may be added.) And of course the transport institutes, authorities and financing institutions that have published relevant reports not mentioned here yet, are particularly requested to send a web-link. In this way the website can evolve into the reference base as it is meant to be.
